These 'hook graphs' are valuable ways to visualize how both Brake Mean Effective Pressure (BMEP) and Fuel Economy change as the Air to Fuel Ratio is changed. BMEP can be converted to either Torque if the cubic inches of the engine is known, or Horsepower if the RPM and Cubic Inches of displacement of the engine is known
